Q: Hi Dave,
I would like to know if it is possible to make homemade chili powder. I notice in most recipes call for store-bought chili powder like New Mexican red and green, etc. I live in Africa and we do not have access to anything like that. I believe my mother used some kind of brick-type chili she bought at the supermarket but that was 50 years ago or more and I cannot seem to get the real taste like she did. I have a yearning to make real chili like Mom did.
