I made a delicious Vindaloo but it is unbearably hot. Is there anything that I can do to this already prepared dish to make it edible? What would happen if I added a bit of milk or yogurt to this dish?

The only thing you can do is add more of the non-chile ingredients to dilute it. Do not add milk or yogurt as that will change the flavor. Make another batch without chile and combine it with the first batch.
