Dave,

I planted 15 of the Naga Morichs. All 15 came up and are doing well! What would be the best method of saving the remaining seeds long term? I have been told to vacuum them and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator crisper). Also would appreciate your advice on when and how to save seeds from the 15 plants, after they have produced mature pods. Thanks,

Bob

Hello Bob:

Wait until the pods have competely turned their mature color. Remove the seeds and let them dry at room temperature for at least a week. Vacuum sealing works fine and you can even keep them in the freezer. That’s where most seed banks store their germplasm.
