Q:  Dear Dr. BBQ,

What is your favorite type of grill to cook on?

–Ray

A:  Hi Ray,

Right now my favorite cooker is the Big Green Egg. It’s really versatile and interesting to cook on. Now I have to admit that it is also the newest addition to my stable and they are a sponsor. I also like my big insulated cabinet pellet smoker, very similar to an FE100 now made by Cookshack. I’ve always loved cooking on a Weber kettle  (I’ve got about five) and I’ve got a great Napoleon gas grill with a rotisserie and an infrared burner in back that’s very cool too. Then there was that 55-gallon drum cooker in Jamaica that I grew pretty attached to. I liked that hole in the ground in New Jersey where I cooked that hog too. I really liked that old locker that I used to cook ribs on back in the 80s, and of course my 5-foot Belson flat grill. How could I forget my first ever BBQ cooking trophy won on that Kingsford oval grill?

You getting the picture?
