Q: Good Morning Dave!
I have only just discovered this site & it is wonderful! I’m new at growing peppers & I need help. When I bought my plants they were labeled habaneros, but I have since been told they are serranos. I didn’t expect them to really make it…but all 6 plants are producing wonderful little peppers. My question is, NOW WHAT?! I thought it would be fun to make a seasoning powder, since we grill a lot. But how do I dry these little guys? I guess here’s a second question: Do you have a simple, for-beginners salsa recipe? Thanks bunches.
A: Hello Jane:
For all the information on drying peppers, see http://www.fiery-foods.com/dave/drying.asp
For a basic salsa, I recommend Salsa Fresca, found here: http://www.fiery-foods.com/dave/fresh_chiles.asp
