Hello Dave:

Do you have a contact that imports Piri-Piri peppers, either a diced or purred? I have a corporate chief that wants to use them. Thanks for the help.

Hello Paul:

No, I don’t. Most of these chiles, which in reality are dried piquins, are used in Africa to make sauces and are not exported. Piri-Piri, Pili-Pili and other variations on this terminology are Swahili for "pepper-pepper" and cover a wide variety of African peppers. Your chef should source Mexican piquins for the same flavor and heat profile. They are available at Latin markets.
