As a Big Green Egg aficionado and owner, I’ve struggled to find a book on grilling and smoking specifically on the Egg. Having just seen your profile and information in the 2007 Sizzle magazine and having found your web site and evident faithfulness in the Egg, have you written any books or have any recommendations on cooking with the Egg? My neighbor, an Egg owner for more than 15 years, and I have been looking for some time now. We”re not fishing to write one ourselves, but I”m surprised by how little direct support for grilling and smoking has been published in terms of temperature, time, and prep. Neither I or anyone else has actually published a book specifically for the Big Green Egg. My books make a lot of references to it and I can tell you that the majority of my testing is done on the large egg right outside my door. But there is a happy ending here. The Naked Whiz, fellow egghead and keeper of the lump charcoal database has on his website a series of e-cookbooks derived from Eggfests around the country and featuring recipes that have all been perfected on the egg.
